Bike Review: Triumph Speed T4 Old Vs New 2025 Model

2025 Triumph Speed T4 was recently launched in India. Its pricing remains the same as before – Rs XX lakh (ex-showroom, XX). But there are a few changes to the bike, most notably, new paint schemes. But here’s what’s changed as compared to the older Speed T4:

Colours

For 2025 the major change for the Triumph Speed T4 includes the addition of 4 new exciting colour options: Caspian Blue, Lava Red Gloss, Phantom Black – all available with Pearl White dual tone along with Phantom Black with Storm Grey.

These new colour options with the Pearl White dual tone makes the motorcycle look premium. While the Phantom Black with Storm Grey makes the modern classic look quite stealthy.

Design

For 2025, Triumph has given the Speed T4 some minor updates like a 3D T4 emblem on the side panels along with colour coded rim stripes. The new version also gets a new steel finished exhaust muffler which definitely goes well with the overall design.

The older iteration of the Speed T4 looked similar to the updated model. It was available in different paint schemes which gave the older Speed T4 more of a modern touch. Also, it came with different graphics for the tank along with a Speed T4 sticker on the side panel. The older version also had a matte black coloured exhaust.

What’s Same

The 2025 Triumph Speed T4 retains the same engine as before and it even runs on the same tune. It uses a 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which makes 31PS at 7,000rpm and 36Nm at 5,000rpm and comes equipped with a 6-speed gearbox. The Speed T4 has been praised for its brilliant low-end performance along with a smooth and linear power delivery. The older Speed T4 had a bassy and engaging exhaust note. And as the engine and tune remains the same, the 2025 Speed T4 will retain its distinguished exhaust note.

The Triumph Speed T4 same underpinnings for 2025. It gets a steel tubular frame along with a 43mm telescopic fork and a rear monoshock with preload adjustability. It gets 140mm front and 120mm rear wheel travel. For braking duties it gets a 300mm front and 230mm rear disc brake setup. It uses 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends along with tubeless tyres.

The 2025 Speed T4 continues with the same all-LED lights. It gets a semi-digital instrument console with an analogue speedometer. The display shows all the crucial information like a gear position indicator, fuel indicator and trip information. Other than this it gets dual channel ABS. As the older Speed T4, the 2025 version too comes equipped with only the usable set of features without any extra modern interventions.

Conclusion

The 2025 Triumph Speed T4 costs the same as before priced at Rs 1,99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). For the price, the Speed T4 remains quite a strong contender in its category providing the perfect blend of great styling and performance. Just like earlier, the new version too competes with the Bajaj Pulsar NS400 Z, Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Hero Mavrick 440, Husqvarna Vitpilen 250, and the KTM Duke 250.
